My Work History

In 1996, I graduated from the State College Area High School and embarked on getting an education from The Pennsylvania State University. I enrolled in the Liberal Arts College with the goal of attaining Bachelors of Science in Letters, Arts, and Sciences. I concentrated my area of study in the New Media & Development field. I also completed a Minor in Comparative Literature. During my junior year, I spent a semester and got a internship with the now defunct professional Miami Fusion Soccer Club in Fort Lauderdale. There, I was able to learn a lot about the sports business and also work on the teams Web site and publication piecesl. In August of 2000, I completed my studies at Penn State and graduated with my Letters, Arts, and Sciences degree. After graduation, I moved down to south Florida permanently.

In October of 2000, I started a contract position with a company called Snipermail, Inc. located in Boca Raton, FL. I worked as a Web Designer where I designed opt-in emails. Often the only thing I had to go from would be text the company sent in and I would use their Web site as inspiration. After I would finish designing the email, I would setup tracking links in Snipermail's system to send the email out. I also would make updates to Snipermail's Web site. My contract ended in January of 2001.

In June of 2001, I joined a company called InterNetwork Publishing Corporation in Boca Raton, FL on another contract assignment. Working as one of the lead Web Designer's at the company, I designed and produced over 30+ Web sites for the company. I would design all of the graphics, layout, and text placement for each site. I also designed and produced over 100+ Net Rate templates for their Lodging.com database.

In March of 2002, I joined a company called UNreal Marketing Solutions, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL. There, I acted as a Web Developer/SEO Account Manager. Here, I designed and produced affliate programs Web sites and pages. I designed all of the graphics, layout, and text placement for each site. My main responsibility was to create high ranking Search Engine Optimization (SEO) HTML pages to generate high ranking's for keywords (produced from UNreal's SEO system). In November of 2002 I was released due to slowing business and the closing of the Fort Lauderdale office.

In February of 2003, I joined a company called Kreating, LLC., a subsidary of the Chhabra Group located in Weston, FL. I acted as one of the lead designers for their "mirror team" sites. Part of a group, I managed over 75+ e-commerce Web sites. Here, I would make changes and updates to the sites. I also designed new templates to use that would consist of the layout, graphics, navigation, and the text position on the sites. In December of 2003, the company closed as business was too slow and I was released back into the work-force. Half of the Kreating team ended up working for Internet Expansion, Inc. and the other half ended working for E-Biz Programs, Inc.

In December of 2003, I joined Internet Expansion, Inc. located in Boca Raton, FL on a 6 month contract assignment. Here I acted as one of the lead Web Designers for the company and managed e-commerce sites the company had as clients. I would also optimize the sites for search engine placement to get high rankings in the major search engines. I also would design templates for the company to use as well. This included the layout, graphics, navigation, and text placement for the sites. On existing sites, I would also make updates that would consist of: made text corrections to sites, add new features, graphics, etc.

In May of 2004, I left Internet Expansion to take an contract offer from E-Biz Programs, Inc. located in Weston, FL. It was the start of an 8 month contract. I was in charge of their brand new e-commerce platform and the sites they have on it. The platform utilized languages such as ASP.Net, XML, SQL, and others. My duties included transfering their exsisting sites to the new platform, and managing their current ones as well. In December of 2004 I left E-Biz Programs as the contract had ended.

In March of 2005 I joined the Icom Group, LLC. (located in Weston, FL) to act as their lead Web Designer. There, for their ecommerce sites I acted as the affiliate manager of them all. I designed and produced over 30 templates where each site was static html and each product had javascript IDs assigned to them. I used Macromedia Dreamweaver to dynamically produce each site in a matter of minutes that had me changing the URLs and Affiliate IDs. In addition to the affiliate manager role I had, I also designed and produced templates for various product specific sites. Other duties consisted of managing exsisting sites for various product changes, additions, text and image changes and so on. In February of 2006 I left Icom due to company downsizing.
